As Christians, we believe that God loves this beautiful and fragile world and calls us to take care of it, starting right where we are. When faced with projects that would harm or destroy, our love for God demands that we say “No!”, so we can say a full “Yes!” to the health and well-being of this planet and all who call it home.
As Christians, we believe that reconciliation is at the very heart of God, In that spirit, and in light of the recent Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Canada’s ongoing legacy of colonialism, we want to find ways to support the leadership and flourishing of the Indigenous nations on whose land we live and worship, as we work toward a healthier, more just relationship between the church and Indigenous peoples.
As Christians, we also love to carol…well, a lot of us do anyway…
For all these reasons, Earthkeepers is organizing “Carols for the Climate”, a fun, family-friendly evening of music, art, food, and carolling, partnering with people across the Lower Mainland and beyond thru the PullTogether campaign, raising money for the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, and other First Nations protecting the earth by resisting the Kinder Morgan pipeline in the courts.
